Disputes and corrections
Every story on Household News comes from a business we've verified, and every photo was taken on site. When something is still wrong, here's what happens.
If someone is using your business's name
Use Report a problem on any story or pro page and choose "This isn't the right business". Tell us how we can confirm the business is yours: a state license number, your Sunbiz filing, or your website.
- An editor reviews every report, usually within 2 business days, and replies by email.
- While we check, we can pause the business. Its stories come off the site until it's settled.
- If the claim holds up, we remove the other account's verification and take its stories down. You can then get verified under your business's name.
- Only one account can be verified under a business name.
If a story is wrong or shows something private
Report it the same way. We correct or take down stories with a factual error, and we take down anything that shows a private detail such as a house number, a face, or a document. Stories never show an exact address or map location.
What we don't do
Nobody can pay to appear here, to rank higher, or to have a story about their business removed. Reports are judged on the facts.
